The Wallachia eHub Digital Innovation Center benefits from the support of regional support structures
On February 9, 2023, the official launch of the Wallachia eHub project – DIGITAL INNOVATION HUB (WEH), ID 101083410, Call DIGITAL-2021-EDIH-01, took place at the headquarters of the Ploiesti Oil-Gaze University. The founding members of the Wallachia Hub cluster consortium agreed to the project and recommended that the members of the founding clusters also benefit from this project, to the extent of the interest shown. They also proposed that the international conference InnopRo – Innovation Pathways Romania organized under the auspices of the Wallachia Hub cluster consortium be included in this project , as an annual event specific to the WEH Summit for the next 3 years, an event that will be held this year in between November 16-17, in Sinaia.
The project was supported by the South-Muntenia Regional Development Agency, which presented the synergies of the project with the calls for projects that will be carried out by the agency in the following period. It invited the members of the Wallachia eHub consortium to participate in the caravan organized by the institution for the beneficiaries of the South-Muntenia region.
Also, the synergies of the WEH project with the European Enterprise Network (EEN), the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (SUERD), national digitization projects such as the Human Capital Operational Project “Performing employees, competitive enterprises!” were also presented. and other Horizon Europe projects on precision agriculture (Agroecology-TRANSECT and Organic Target4EU). Members present, both physically and online, appreciated the project and committed to its dissemination among members and regionally.
In the debates that followed, those present made contributions regarding aspects related to the digital and visual identity of the project, to attract the interest of the beneficiaries in the project by connecting digitization solutions that contribute to a regional offer as complete as possible.
The event was attended by representatives of cluster structures (Cluster CERMAND, Bio Concept Valea Prahova, Danube Engineering Hub, Elinclus cluster), universities (Valahia University in Târgoviște, Petrol-Gaze University in Ploiesti), teaching staff, companies, chambers of commerce ( CCI Prahova, CCI Dâmbovița), public authorities (Prahova Prefecture).
“The meeting proved the increased interest in the digital transformation of the associative structures of the business environment, clusters, chambers of commerce, local authorities and companies that participated in the debates and came up with constructive proposals. Also, we were pleased with the interest and contribution of ADR Muntenia to the event,” said Prof. Dr. Costin Lianu, the project coordinator.
