Wallachia eHub, catalyst for innovation and digital transformation

On May 24, 2023, more than 100 participants from 12 countries, representing SMEs and traditional clusters with technology knowledge, participated in the Hack4reSTART Bucharest international event, organized by the Association of Clusters in Romania – CLUSTERO, in cooperation with Wallachia eHub and Techcelerator and supported by Enterprise Europe Network, an innovative event aimed at bringing together traditional manufacturing SMEs with technology providers and suitable solutions in the process of digital transformation and the transition to Industry 5.0. The event also included a session dedicated to brief presentations of innovative solutions, in which companies, including start-ups, presented their solutions to a national and international audience.

The objective of the event was to mediate the digitalization solutions offered by the participants with the digitalization challenges of companies operating in traditional sectors such as textiles, wood and furniture, automobiles, machines and equipment, agro, logistics, etc. Technology and manufacturing companies had the opportunity to describe their digitization offerings or challenges and participate in meetings held in a dedicated hybrid matchmaking session at the event. It was a real transfer of knowledge and business incubator, and we could see the growing interest of the business environment in participating in our actions. Our activities will continue even more rapidly this year. Through the new international recognition by EDIH – European Center for Digital Innovation, we have received applications for our service packages, both for public authorities and for companies, and the first applicants will benefit from our support for digital innovation” said Costin Lianu, WEH coordinator .
