- Infrastructure insights: A deep dive into the EuroHPC – AI Factories network and its role in accelerating European innovation.
- Equitable access: Strategies for ensuring SMEs and public administration have fair access to advanced computing services.
- Sectoral impact: Practical applications of AI in healthcare, energy, agriculture, and public administration.
Reflecting on the ICI-WEH Partnership
The collaboration between Wallachia eHub and ICI Bucharest has been instrumental in shaping Romania’s role within the European AI ecosystem. To date, our interaction has focused on identifying real-world digital needs and translating them into scalable solutions through the BSC AI Factory framework. The partnership with ICI Bucharest has evolved into a powerhouse for regional digital transformation and the January 15th event is a testament to the joint commitment to move beyond theory and provide tangible AI resources to those driving the economy.
Future Collaboration Goals
Looking forward, Wallachia eHub and ICI Bucharest aim to:
- Establish joint innovation labs: Creating physical and virtual “sandboxes” for testing AI prototypes.
- Scale the “RO AI Factory”: Building on the success of the national initiative to position Romania as a regional hub for supercomputing and ethical AI.
- Enhanced training: Expanding joint programs to bridge the digital skills gap in the AI-driven economy.
Vision for the Future
Looking ahead, Wallachia eHub aims to deepen this partnership by focusing on several strategic pillars:
- Joint innovation Labs: We envision the creation of collaborative sandboxes where startups and SMEs can test AI prototypes using ICI’s advanced infrastructure.
- Knowledge transfer & upskilling: We intend to co-organize specialized training programs to prepare the Romanian workforce for the AI-driven economy.
- Expansion of digital services: WEH seeks to integrate ICI’s cutting-edge cybersecurity and data analytics capabilities into the service portfolio offered to our regional digital transformation hubs.
Through the BSC AI Factory, Wallachia eHub and ICI Bucharest are not just participants in the digital revolution; we are architects of it. We look forward to a long-term collaboration that will position Romania as a significant player on the European AI map.
